Community Events
Mannar Night, the Summer BBQ, and every cultural gathering that keeps the diaspora connected — venue costs, catering, and the celebrations that bring hundreds of families together each year.
Charitable work
University scholarships, orphanage sponsorships, hospital equipment, and emergency relief — from tsunami response in 2004 to flood relief in Nanattan in 2026. This is where the majority of MFA’s fundraising ultimately goes.
Operations
The essentials that keep MFA running — website hosting, the annual souvenir magazine, and event logistics. MFA has no paid staff; volunteers cover their own expenses, so this category stays as lean as possible.
